Your Duty, Commitment, Responsibility

In the Catholic Church, we are obliged to attend Mass on Holy Days of Obligation and refrain from unnecessary works “which hinder the worship to be rendered to God, the joy proper to the Lord’s day, or the suitable relaxation of mind and body” (Canon 1247 of the Code of Canon Law).

In addition to Sundays, the following days are the remaining Holy Days of Obligation for 2024 in the Diocese of Orlando:

• Monday, August 15 – The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
• Tuesday, November 1 – All Saints Day
• Sunday, December 25 – Christmas
