SOME DREAMS DO COME TRUE…By now you probably have heard through the grapevine that there will soon be a change of leadership at St. Faustina’s. Fr. Ramon Bolatete, the Parochial Administrator at St. Joseph’s in Lakeland will be taking over my position here sometime around May 1st. Fr. Ramon is a native of the Philippines…was ordained in 1985…has been incardinated in the Diocese of Orlando since 2010. He had been an assistant at St. Joseph’s, under Msgr. John Caulfield when I first arrived in Florida in 2005. He became the “pastor” there when Msgr retired and has been leading the parish and St. Joseph’s Academy ever since. He speaks perfect English…and Spanish (so he can take care of our Spanish communities’ needs)…has a wonderful singing voice…is calm, pleasant, smiles
a lot. He is very happy to be coming to minister to you folks and guide you to the future of “building your church.” I ask you today to continue to HAVE HOPE…and be patient. When I left PA to come to Florida, I had a dream that someday I might serve in a parish “on the beach”. Well, my dream has come true. I will be moving to Church of Our Saviour in Cocoa Beach to lead that community sometime around May 1st. Our Saviour’s was founded in 1956…is right on A1A(2 blocks from the beach) near the Cocoa Beach Pier. It has the buildings necessary to minister to the people of the parish, including an Elementary school which has at present 155 students. It took 13 years…but, my dream has come true. Keep on praying…hoping…and welcoming ALL who come to this wonderful community…Trust that the Lord will do it in HIS time. Please pray for me.
